Supporting Our 'Future Wander Women'

Cook’s is super proud to confirm another year of support for the Western Sydney Wanderers ‘Future Wander Women Program’.

The Program launched in March in 2021, provides our next generation of female football superstars every opportunity to further their chances of great pathways within the sport as they grow. With our support (and the support of other great partners), it allows the Program to continue to be at no cost to families, therefore providing ALL girls with the chance to be involved.

188 young female players attended the trials over two weeks during the first year.  Initially focusing on participants aged 14-17 years, the popularity of the game itself, and the growing population of Western Sydney has meant the Program now also includes 10-13 year olds.

Many experienced staff are heavily involved in the Future Wander Women Program, including Wanderers Academy Technical Director, FWW head coach Linda Khamis and Wanderers midfield ace, Libby Copus-Brown, as Assistant Coach.

The Future Wander Women Program makes up part of the overall Wanderers Foundation , which introduces a number of initiatives and opportunities, making a positive impact in the Greater Western Sydney community.

Andrew Reynolds – Cook’s Financial Controller (and football enthusiast!) talks more in the video below about our involvement and the passion we have for supporting our next generation of ‘Wander Women’ in sport.
